Iaido Martial Arts Experience and Japanese Sword Tour 「Now accepting reservations」

Why not have a real samurai experience on a traditional Noh stage? Iaido is a martial art in which you practice the series of movements required to sheathe a Japanese sword, from drawing it to defeating an imaginary enemy. Unlike kendo, you do not actually fight an opponent, but practice forms against an imaginary enemy, so there is absolutely no danger involved. Today, iaido is practiced with the aim of maintaining health through the physical and mental training of the martial art.
After your iaido experience, you'll visit Tamahagane, a high-end sushi restaurant where authentic Japanese swords are on display. These swords are usually displayed merely for decoration, but only tour participants will be able to actually touch them. The dignified brilliance of these genuine Japanese swords will be a lasting memory of your visit to Japan.
After fully enjoying the charm of Japanese swords, you'll enjoy traditional, authentic sushi. You can savor authentic sushi while watching sushi chefs carefully prepare each piece at a counter.

Iaido

Iaido is a martial art in which you practice the series of movements from sheathing a Japanese sword to unsheathing it and defeating an imaginary enemy. Unlike kendo, you don't actually fight with an opponent, but practice kata (forms) against an imaginary opponent, so there is absolutely no danger. For safety reasons, the swords used in iaido are not real swords, but rather mock swords that are the same weight as real swords. This gives it a more realistic feel than kendo.
Iaido is said to be effective in correcting one's character and maintaining health by learning the principles of the sword, mastering etiquette, training mental concentration and muscle strength, and maintaining correct posture.

Japanese sword

Japanese swords, commonly known as katana, are curved blades with a cutting edge on one side, made using a method unique to Japan. They were created around the end of the Heian period and are made from high-quality steel called "tamahagane" (semi-hardened steel), forged using a technique called "folding forging." The material, "tamahagane," is made using a special method, and is only produced in limited areas in Japan.Furthermore, crafting a high-quality Japanese sword from tamahagane requires advanced techniques, and there are very few craftsmen who can do this. Seki City in Gifu Prefecture is famous as a production center for Japanese swords and other swords.

Japanese swords are highly valued as works of art and are no longer in use. Participants in this tour will have the opportunity to touch and feel the beauty of these expensive swords.

Authentic nigiri sushi

This Japanese sword, named "Tamahagane," is displayed in a genuine sushi restaurant. It was made by a sword craftsman in Seki City and is usually only displayed as a decoration and cannot be touched, but as a special tour participant you will have the opportunity to touch the sword. After seeing a real Japanese sword, you will enjoy authentic nigiri sushi. Here, you can sit at the counter and enjoy watching the sushi chef make the sushi while chatting with him. This is the only sushi restaurant in the world where you can see a real Japanese sword and eat sushi made by a professional chef.
