【Tsushima City】
Date: The fourth Saturday and Sunday of May every year
Tsushima Shrine's festivals were held using mikoshi (portable shrines), just like in neighboring areas, until 1935. In 1935, the Ishitori Festival began with the purchase of four festival floats from Kuwana. The Ishitori floats were originally used in the Edo period in Kuwana to offer stones from the riverbed to the shrine.
