Special Sake Brewery Tour: Experience "Authentic Japan" in the Land of the Gods
Genzaka Sake Brewery
Yanagiwara, Odai Town, Mie Prefecture, is a village that has offered sacred rice to the Ise Shrine, one of Japan's most sacred places. Genzaka Sake Brewery, which has been in business since 1805, is located along the old Kumano Kodo road, a World Heritage Site, and the entire town is a special environment designated as a UNESCO Ecopark. This long-established brewery, which produces sake such as "Sakataya Hachibei" and "KINO (Return to Farming)" in this land said to be inhabited by the gods, is a special brewery accessible only to select guests, as tours are not available through travel agencies.
On this sacred brewery, you can experience the skills of the brewers and the deep spirituality of Japanese culture.
Hinakaya Japanese Cuisine
Hinakaya, a renowned restaurant awarded one star in the Michelin Guide Mie, is located right next to the rice paddies of the pesticide-free Isenishiki rice, revived by Motosaka Sake Brewery. It serves seasonal kaiseki cuisine amidst stunning views of the clear Miyagawa River. With thatched roofs, earthen walls, a dirt floor, and hearths, the original Japanese landscape remains untouched, like something straight out of a fairy tale.
This tour, supervised by the "Sake Prince" who has hosted over 200 sake and cooking events, offers special pairings that perfectly combine Hinakaya's cuisine with Motosaka Sake Brewery's sake.
This unique journey in the land of the gods allows you to experience Japan's sake culture, food culture, and natural beauty all in one place.
